Rocky days

The last few days have been a little rocky. After my busy day on Sunday, I had a really hard time sleeping that night and so I was "crabby Abby" (that's what daddy calls it) on Monday. I didn't take my normal long naps. I did however get to try peas for the first time and I really liked them. Monday night I didn't sleep well either and I woke up pretty early Tuesday morning. So Mommy said we were going to stay in all day to try and get me back on schedule. It worked!! I took two great naps and had a wonderful, happy day. The only thing that wasn't so happy was when I had to have peas again. For some reason they didn't taste as good the second day (but that happened with my green beans and by day three I liked them again...there's something with day two of a new food). Hopefully they'll taste better tonight!
Oh I almost forgot to tell you...I slept through the night last night (almost 11 hours)! Mommy and daddy were so proud. They've been wondering when I was going to do that. I was going through a little phase where I was waking up more often. Hopefully I'm out of that phase and will sleep through the night again tonight. I'll keep you posted!
Happy April Fools Day! Mommy and I are trying to think of a trick to play on daddy...we'll let you know what we do! Shhhh!!

This is me yesterday when I was having a good day!
I love this thing. I can stand and turn around and have lots of toys to play with!

This was last night when we were about to have dinner, right before daddy fed me the peas.
We were just about to pray for our meal! I'm learning how to fold my hands.

Great-Grandpa

Today I got to go and see my great-grandpa Red and the place where he lives. He held me and made me smile. My cousins, Maryn, Brynn, and Leah came too! I always love seeing them. I like to watch them play. I can't wait until I can crawl around and play with them.

You want to know something cool that mommy didn't know when she named me...my great-grandpa was called Abby as a kid because his real name is Albert and so his daddy called him Abby for short. Then when he got into high school his friends called him Red because of his red hair. Everyone still calls him Red, even today, and his hair isn't red anymore. I think I'll call him Abby!

My first real day out

Yesterday was a really big day for me! AND unfortunately mommy forgot her camera to document my day. So you'll just have to settle for reading about it. It all started with going to Grandma and Grandpa's house for my great-uncle Stewart and daddy's cousin, Thomas's birthday. I got to spend lots of time with my relatives on daddy's side. It was so much fun. There were so many faces to stare at.

Then, from there I got to go to church with mommy and daddy for the very first time. I met lots of other friends in the nursery. My friend Oscar was there so it was good to see a familiar face. I did a really good job, mommy and daddy never had to be paged. Daddy came and picked me up a little early so that I could sing with them in "big church." I hope I get to do that every week. I love singing! When church was over I got to meet lots of mommy and daddy's friends. They thought I was really cute and everyone said I have big, bright eyes. I liked that! I think the best part of the whole day was when I saw mommy and daddy's friend, Mr. Dave. He was doing this thing that made me laugh! I just couldn't stop! I can't wait to see him again! Hopefully mommy will bring her camera next time and you can see what Mr. Dave was doing and how silly it was!

Happy 6 months to me!!

Today I am SIX months old!! Can you believe it!?! Wow!! I went to the doctor this morning and had another check up. Daddy came with too so that was really fun. My doctor said I'm doing really well. My cold is almost all gone! Yeah..no more boogie ball. I hate that thing!!

While at the doctor's office I got the best news ever...I get to leave the house!! That's right, you read correctly, I no longer have to be kept inside and away from people. I get to go to shopping, eat out at restaurants, attend church, and visit friends' houses! I can't wait!!! Hopefully you'll start seeing a lot more of me! I think mommy is more excited than I am! Ready or not world...here I come!

Some other facts about me at six months are:
weight - 13 lbs 10 oz 20th percentile
height - 25 1/4 in. 30th percentile
head- 16 3/8 in. 25th percentile

I also had to get four more shots today. It wasn't as bad as I remembered it. I think that's because daddy was there. Right after it was all over he started making me laugh and I forgot all about what had just happened. Thank you daddy!!

Now that I"m home, I'm going to go and take a nap. Have a great day!

This is mommy and me at the doctor's office right before I had my shots.
